We’ve invited groups across the city and county to show their commitment to making a difference through Fairtrade in your school, business, church or community group by decorating the displaying Fairtrade cotton bunting during Fairtrade Fortnight.
Then, at the end of the Fortnight, bring your bunting to central Oxford for a Fairtrade Landmarks Event on Saturday 12th March 2011. We’ll have time for more creative bunting making, a speaker on Fairtrade cotton, Fairtrade cotton related singing – and – best of all – we’ll be making a spash across the city by wrapping key landmarks in Fairtrade bunting to show of the Fairtrade message.
By wrapping key landmarks in Oxford we’ll make sure that no one can miss Fairtrade Fortnight, and everyone will have the chance to hear about the difference Fairtrade makes.
(If you think you could run a bunting making activity in your group / workplace / place of worship etc. then do order your blank bunting from the Fairtrade Foundation now to make sure it arrives in time…)
This event was just one of the activities discussed at Friday’s committee meeting. You can find details of other plans in the minutes.
