11.30–14.30 Women Working for a Fair Deal Talks by Rukhshanda Naz and Sabita Banerji about pioneering projects in Pakistan and India. Rukhshanda is a board member of Khwendo Kor that empowers women and families in Pakistan through micro-credit, education, and work for women’s rights. Sabita works with Just Change, a radical social trading movement that ensures poor producers and consumers get a fair deal. Fair Trade stalls and refreshments, including lunch. Learn about how fair trade and co-ops have benefited their communities. Fair trade and co-operative exhibition, food tasting, join a local co-operative, and fair trade products sale.
