We’re encouraging individuals and businesses in Oxford to take the next step into Fairtrade this Fairtrade Fortnight.
Whether you are local retailer providing Fairtrade products, or you are a Fairtrade brand or producer group, we’ve got opportunities for you to get involved.
Send samples for our Fairtrade Business Lunch
We’re inviting retailers and caterers from across Oxford to a business lunch to find out about the new Fairtrade products they could stock. We want to let businesses know that Fairtrade is much more than just generic tea and coffee, but includes a wide range of possible products.
We’re got space for over 30 businesses to come together at the fantastic Turl Street Kitchen venue, to meet with local Fairtrade experts, and to explore the growing Fairtrade range. Could you send a sample of your product range? We also have a few sponsorship opportunities for the business lunch.
Advertise in our Fairtrade Fortnight Newspaper
We’re creating an eight-page full-colour newspaper packed full of local Fairtrade news, producer stories, product information and a directory of places to get hold of Fairtrade products in Oxford. We’re planning to print 5,000 of them to be distributed to local cafes, businesses, communities venues, churches and local council venues during Fairtrade Fortnight.
We’ve got the designers ready and the content being written, but to make it happen we need your support. We’ve got a range of advertising options in the paper, from featured listings on our Fairtrade map, to a variety of advert sizes and full-page features. Get in touch to find out more.
Run a talk or tasting
We’re in touch with local businesses and community groups interested in running Fairtrade tasting events during Fairtrade Fortnight. If you’d like to run a Fairtrade tasting event with your products during the fortnight, drop us a line and we’ll try and link you up.
More about us
Oxford City Fairtrade Coalition is a voluntary network working to raise awareness of Fairtrade in Oxford. We do this by running events, producing information on Fairtrade, and working with the local authority and other partners to promote Fairtrade. We’re a non-for-profit community group run by a volunteer committee. We look for sponsorship for events where this can help us to increase uptake of Fairtrade products, and raise awareness of the importance of making trade fair. Usually we break-even or operate at a loss, but if we do get any extra funds from our activities then they go back into future projects. Find out more of what we do by reading our blog.
